ETL automation
ETL stands for Extract, Transform, and Load. It is a process of extracting data from one or more sources, transforming it to fit a specific need, and loading it into a destination database or data warehouse.
There are a number of different ETL tools available, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Some of the more popular ETL tools include Informatica, Talend, and SSIS.
The exact steps involved in an ETL process will vary depending on the specific tool and data sources involved. However, in general, the process will typically involve the following steps:
Extracting data
Extracting data from the source systems. This may involve extracting data from a variety of different sources, such as a database, a flat file, or a web service.
Transforming the data
Transforming the data to fit the needs of the destination system. This may involve cleansing, formatting, and/or transforming the data to match the structure of the destination system.
Loading the data
Loading the data into the destination system. This may involve loading the data into a database or data warehouse.
